Mary J. Cronin
Mary J. Cronin, President of 4Q Catalyst, is a social entrepreneur, management professor, analyst, and business consultant.
Mary works at the intersection of business transformation, the future of learning at work, and entrepreneurship. Her latest book is Starting Up Smarter: Why Founders Over 50 Build Better Businesses. Her twelve prior books include the international best seller Doing Business on the Internet (1994), Smart Products, Smarter Services (2010), Top-Down Innovation (2014) and Managing for Social Impact: Innovations in Responsible Enterprise (2017).
Mary has a Ph.D. from Brown University and is a Research Professor at Boston College, Carroll School of Management. She teaches Entrepreneurship at Boston College, and serves on the boards of The Encore Boston Network, Boston Authors Club, and the Steering Committee of Founders 55+ at AGENCY.
Scott B. Guthery
Scott B. Guthery, Chief Innovation Officer at 4Q Catalyst, is an inventor, patent consultant, data analyst, author, and computer scientist.
Prior to co-founding 4Q Catalyst, Scott served as a Technical Advisor for In-Q-Tel, as a Senior System Architect at HID Global, co-founder and CTO at Mobile-Mind, and a senior developer at Microsoft. He has been granted over 60 US patents and is the author, co-author, editor of ten books, including Smart Card Developer’s Kit, Mobile Application Development, Developing MMS Applications: Multimedia Messaging, A Motif of Mathematics, and Practical Purposes.
Scott has a Ph.D. from Michigan State University. He is the founder of Docent Press, a Boston–based publisher, and a Boston Authors Club board member.
